Trip to Walgreens on February 15, 2010

I was able to purchase the above items with a shelf cost of $37.24 for only $6.29 and I received $4 in RR to use on my next purchase.

Transaction #1

Gillette fusion razor - $8.99 less $4 coupon from PG 2/7

(2) Orbit gum packs -$.69 x 2 after Walgreens in ad coupon

Subtotal $7.30 less $6 RR = $1.30 + $4RR received

Transaction #2

(1) Olay body wash - $5.29 less $1 coupon from PG 1/17

(1) Olay body wash - $2.64 (BOGO 50% off) less $1 coupon from PG 1/17

(2) Orbit gum packs - $.69 x 2 after Walgreens in ad coupon

(2) Kellogg's cereal - $1.99 x 2 less printable coupon $1.50/2

Subtotal $10.99 less $4 RR, $2RR = $4.99
The register rewards used were from last week's sales. I had to use the Orbit gum as fillers which is fine since I can't seem to buy enough gum for my gum chewing crowd. Walgreens will not let you use RR unless you have the same number of items as you do coupons or RR (Walgreens ad coupons do not count).

  1. Nice job! One more Olay product and you'll get that $15 rebate, too!!

  2. Thanks Katie. I only had 2 coupons for the Olay body wash or I would have taken care of it all in one purchase. Hopefully, I can pick up another Olay product before the rebate period expires.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Thanks for pointing out the policy on the same number of coupons/RR as items. I was not aware of this and so I would have faced that tomorrow probably.

  4. Hello Diane,
I am afraid I had to find it out the hard way a few times. I have even had cashiers to tell me I could not use more than one RR per transaction which is untrue. As long as you have the same number of items as you do coupons and RR you will be fine.
