Walgreens Weekly Ad 08/29-09/04

Looks like a good ad this week at Walgreens. Go here for a complete list of the deals and to print your shopping list. Also, Walgreens has now published a coupon policy here. They will now allow two coupons on BIGI items. I keep a copy of the coupon policy in my coupon binder just in case.

Budget Update

Monthly Update

YEAH! For the month of August I was under budget by $27.58. I spent $472.42 on $755.13 worth of groceries. I saved $209.26 with coupons during the month.

Unfortunately, that will only purchase one college textbook:(

I saved 81% at CVS!!

Total out of pocket was $5.32 and I received an ECB of $7.00=$1.68 profit. Here's the details:

First transaction

• (2) Listerine Zero $3.97 x 2 = $7.94 less (2) $2 coupons

• (2) Mentos Gum BIGIF = $1.79

• less (2) $2 ECB from previous week

Total due $2.61 and received (2) $2 ECBs

Second transaction

• (1) Zegerid OTC (raincheck from last week's ad) $9.99 less $4 coupon from scanner
• less (2) ECBs from transaction #1

Total due $2.71 and received $7.00 ECB

Stockpiling list for the week of Aug 25-Aug 31

I do not have much on my stockpiling list this week.

Piggly Wiggly (Cost + 10%) (Some Walmarts will not match cost + stores)

• Piggly Wiggly sugar 4lb bag 3/$5-this equates to $.42 per lb which is cheaper than the 10 lb bag I usually buy at Walmart at $.47/lb.

• Wesson vegetable oil 48 oz $1.97

• Nabisco premium saltines 16 oz box $1.95 less $.75/2 coupon 08/08 SS

• Memphis or Original Bulls-eye BBQ sauce $.68 less $.75 coupon 08/29 SS = FREE

Walmart has their Rotel on Rollback for $.88 a can. Go here for a coupon $1/3 to reduce the price to $.55 a can.

Three inserts this weekend!!
